New Programs Airing this Month


Just some of the new shows and programs airing this November on WYOU:

Street Quest; a documentary on the origin of Madison streets; produced and directed by former Splu Urtaf member Benson Gardner; Sunday nights at 10:00 pm, Thursdays 1:30 pm, Fridays 3:30 am.

The Barn Salvateers; a documentary on the salvaging of one 90-year old Dane County barn in order to restore a second; produced by Tarazod Films' Tashai Lovington and WYOU Program Coordinator Robert Lughai; Sunday nights at 11:00 pm, Thursdays 2:30 pm, Fridays 4:30 am.

Roger Bindl: Video Shorts; a compilation of both documentary and narrative short films from the WYOU Chair; Sunday morning at 5:30 am and Sunday afternoon at 3:30 pm, Mondays 11:00 am.

Chad Vader, Episodes 6-8; the saga continues from well known WYOU producers Aaron Yonda and Matt Sloan; airs on Not Docs, Saturday nights at 11:00 pm, Wednesday at midnight, Saturday mornings 5:00 am.

La Fete de la Musique; coverage of the annual summer solstice music celebration in the heart and streets of Paris, from veteran WYOU producer Luciano Matheron; Monday nights at 8:30 pm, Tuseday 6:30 am and 1:30 pm.

Taylor's Tech Tips; let this 12-year old computer wizard teach you a thing or two about new technology; Airs LIVE Thursdays at 5:30 pm with a repeat on Friday at 11:30 am.

Madison Civics Club: Sonia Nazario; coverage of speaker Sonia Nazario, author of Enrique's Journey, produced by WYOU Executive Director, Charles Uphoff; Tuesday 8:00 pm, Wednesday 12:30 am and 10:30 am.

It's unfortunate that Representative Kestell from Elkart Lake doesn't know about these programs. WYOU has great diversity in programing, and something for everyone.

Then again I can't help but be suspicious about his comments at the Joint Finance Committee meeting on Wisconsins AT&T cable bill. He doesn't get public access television, yet ridicules it for a 1 hour program he claims to have channel surfed for 2 hours.
