Chicago Tonight's Rich Samuels in the WYOU Studio


WYOU Education Director, Robert Lughai and filmmaking partner Tashai Lovington were interviewed today in the WYOU studio by Rich Samuels, the host of the long-running show Chicago Tonight on WTTW in Chicago. Samuels is doing a piece on the urban backyard chicken movement that is sweeping the country and Lughai & Lovington are the producers of the feature-length documentary Mad City Chickens.

Rich also graciously agreed to do a short Public Service Announcement in support of the station.

The Making of The Mad City Chickens Documentary

Mad City Chickens is a documentary on people who keep chickens in the city, and Madison is a leader in the backyard poultry movement. The film premiered to a sold out audience at the 2008 Wisconsin Film Festival and will be release on DVD sometime in early 2009.

WYOU Education Director & Program Coordinator Robert Lughai and his filmmaking partner Tashai Lovington produced the feature-length film as well as the 25 minute behind-the-scenes short which airs all this December here on WYOU.

Mad City Chickens Premiere


WYOU Program Coordinator & Education Director Robert Lughai, along with his filmmaking partner, Tashai Lovington, premiered their feature-length documentary Mad City Chickens last night before a sold out audience at Monona Terrace in Madison.
